Medhi Angot

Guest Tutor

Born in France and trained at the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet School, Medhi Angot’s ballet career took off when he joined the English National Ballet in London at the age of 17. During his time there, he performed as a soloist in esteemed productions before moving to the Royal New Zealand Ballet, where he held principal roles for five years.

In 2013, Medhi returned to France to become a Principal dancer with the Nice Opera Ballet, where he mastered both classical and contemporary works. By 2021, he transitioned to a new role as a permanent Classical tutor at the New Zealand School of Dance.

Since April 2023, Medhi has thrived as a freelance ballet coach and consultant. He prepares students for high-profile competitions such as the Prix de Lausanne and the Youth America Grand Prix. Additionally, he shares his expertise as a guest teacher with the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
